FAQs

Currently Seez has a full car import service to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Nigeria. We can also import to any other country in the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe upon request. To get more information about shipment to other countries, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Seez works with 9 trusted shipping and logistics companies to ensure the best shipping rates on the market, and the best routes by land and sea. At the origin (in the UAE), Seez handles government handling paperwork (with Dubai’s RTA), export paperwork, and change of ownership paperwork. When the car is ready for shipment Seez handles the shipping documents, bill of lading, commercial invoice, and all the customs clearance needs at the destination border or port. Delivery and import paperwork are delivered directly to your doorstep at the time of car delivery.

Shipping time varies from country to country. Factors such as distance to your destination, means of transportation, paperwork requirements in your country, weather, etc. may affect the time of delivery. Typically, these are the shipping times for each country:

  • Saudi Arabia: Standard transport by land takes 5-7 days
  • Kuwait: Standard transport by land takes 5-7 days
  • Nigeria: Standard transport by sea takes 3-4 weeks. Customs clearance in Lagos takes an additional 5-10 days.

Required documents vary from country to country and we will guide you through the paperwork that you need at each step. Typically you will need:

  • Importing as an individual: your original passport, or the passport of the person in whose name the car is registered
  • Importing as a dealer: company’s commercial licence
  • Bill of lading (to be provided by Seez upon booking of our Cross Border service)
  • Driving license in the country to which you are importing

Before you buy any car you can request a full inspection through Seez’s car inspection option, which is available for every car listing. All Seez inspections are carried out by certified mechanics, and you will be provided with reports, photos and videos. You can choose from 3 packages: a basic inspection that includes the most important points, an intermediate inspection that includes a more detailed check, and a fully comprehensive inspection with a 171-point checklist.

You can choose from the following 2 payment options:

  • Wire Transfer to Seez Safe Wallet. Seez Safe Wallet acts as a guarantee between buyers and sellers. Money is collected into the Seez Safe Wallet and only released to the seller after change of ownership is completed and the car is registered in the name of the new owner.
  • Pay via cash or card through Seez’s trusted local partner in your country (available in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Nigeria).

Fees vary from country to country, depending on regulations. Typically your payment will include:

  • Cost of the car
  • Car inspection
  • Government handling fees
  • Government customs fees (VAT, customs duties)
  • Transport charges (via land or sea)
  • Transport insurance
